April/May 2008 Contest
This contest had two poems:

"Metamorphosis" and "Nesting"

For this contest, I was excited to receive more entries than ever before, from elementary school students in 11 different states. I think this was the hardest contest yet to choose winners!

For their outstanding participation, the students of Eagle's Nest Elementary School (FL), Sandy Creek Central School (NY), Port Monmouth Road School (NJ), St. Joseph Elementary School (ND), and St. Lawrence School (OH) earned a copy of Duck Dunks for their school libraries. Congratulations!



February/March 2008 Contest

December 2007/January 2008 Contest
This contest had one poem:

For this contest, I once again received several hundred wonderful illustrations, and once again had a very hard time choosing winners!

For their outstanding participation, the students of Bowbells School (ND), Bruns Avenue Elementary School (NC), Center Point Elementary School (AL), Rush Creek Elementary School (MN), University Meadows Elementary School (NC), and Wagonwheel Elementary School (WY) earned copies of my books for their school libraries. Congratulations!



October/November 2007 Contest
This contest had two poems:

"The Biker" and "Debutante Ball"

For this contest, I received hundreds and hundreds of wonderful illustrations--all of which I just loved, making it very difficult to choose winners!

For their outstanding participation, the students of Bowbells School, Pineview Elementary School, Wagonwheel Elementary School, and Willard Elementary School earned copies of my books for their school libraries. In total, I awarded 16 books for winning illustrations and participating schools. I hope the schools and students enjoy the books for many years to come!
