In 1988, after 15 years as a Certified Public Accountant, financial auditor and controller, Roger McCook created McCook Software. The company specialized in developing custom-designed accounting, scientific and estimating applications based on the Unix operating system for a variety of industries including medical, research, manufacturing, and printing.

Ten years later, in 1998, the company incorporated and the emphasis shifted to Microsoft Windows.

Over the years Roger has served Southeastern Labs, Osbon Medical Systems, Siemens, Federal Home Loan Banks, Carvel, Deloitte, Bowater, Prudential, General Motors, and many other companies, large and small.

Today Roger specializes in niche and complex systems based on Microsoft SQL Server and the .NET platform (a state of the art environment for building, deploying and running Windows, mobile, and web applications). He publishes articles on technical subjects for developers when time permits, and is a published fiction writer.

Since 2001, much of Roger's time has been at BellSouth / AT&T, developing systems for tracking legislative and regulatory activity, and other telecom-related subjects.

His primary interests are SQL Server database and .NET development using ASP.NET and C#, but also other languages and technologies. He takes on additional customers and interesting assignments from time to time.

Roger is a mature, laid-back, experienced, proven and respected consultant and developer who maintains a sense of humor and does not take himself very seriously.
