1st-hand-history.org has lost its primary source of funding. This has forced us to remove our servers from the Internet, as we can no longer afford the cost of bandwidth and server co-location. We are seeking an affordable alternative, and a reliable source of support. Our goal is to put our servers back online as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we have posted this page on an inexpensive hosting service to let you know what happened to our website.

If you need material to which your website linked, please contact us and we will try to make that portion available for you to post on your server.
1st-hand-history.org is a not-for-profit, section 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation, founded in the state of Oregon in May of 2001.
Our mission is to make rare historical documents available to the public without charging admission or access fees.
We are supported by tax-deductible contributions and the labor of volunteers, including our board of directors and Executive Director.
